Sam Seedhouse wins ‘Pub Chef Of The Year’
A massive congratulations to The Bird In Hand’s Head Chef Sam Seedhouse for winning the Salon Culinaire ‘Pub Chef of The Year’ award yesterday at London’s Excel Centre, as part of the Hotel Restaurant & Catering 2022 event.
Sam’s winning dish was homemade Cumberland sausage, sticky braised pancetta, savoy cabbage, red onion and mustard marmalade, with creamed potatoes, which will be soon be available on the menu at The Bird In Hand, Knowl Hill.
Special shout to The Horse & Groom (Charlton) Head Chef Mo Farhan, who scooped bronze overall, as well as winning the Hygiene Award.
We couldn’t be prouder – a huge honour to call them Butcombe chefs!
