Oxford has been a muse for numerous authors, most notably J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. Explore the places that inspired their literary masterpieces, such as the Eagle and Child pub where the Inklings used to gather. You can even take a Tolkien-themed walking tour to immerse yourself in Middle-earth.

Oxford’s food scene is a delightful mix of traditional English fare and international cuisine. From charming tea rooms serving scones with clotted cream to global gastronomic experiences, there’s something to satisfy every palate. Try the local specialty, the Oxford sausage, at a cozy pub.
