Food is at the heart of what we do. Our menu reflects our own love of seasonal, contemporary British food; every dish is crafted with its own unique twists that allow natural flavours to sing. If you’d like to know where we source our ingredients simply ask and we’ll be happy to tell you. We endeavour to use local ingredients in all our dishes wherever possible.
Serving breakfast daily, indulge in a perfectly cooked breakfast and a hand-crafted Illy coffee to start your day off right; visit before your morning walk, after spending the night in one of our beautifully refurbished rooms or simply join with friends and family.
Sundays are important to us here at The Old House – our roasts are made with fresh field-to-fork ingredients, including an amazing vegan roast option, and the finest local produce around, alongside delicious Bloody Marys, board games, and indulgent desserts.
Behind the bar it’s all about cask ale, craft beer and cider, a fantastic wine list, and classic cocktails.
Our Food Ethos
The ethos is simple; source quality seasonal produce that’s sustainable, traceable and local, and create consistent and innovative menus, offering great value food that exceeds expectation. We cook everything fresh on the day, only ever using the best possible ingredients.
Our Suppliers and Producers
We care immensely about the quality, provenance and seasonality of the produce we buy, and work closely with our suppliers who share the same mindset. Walter Rose Butchers, Kingfisher of Brixham and Hobbs House Bakery to name a few, all strive to be fully sustainable, with complete traceability. Find out more here.
