At The Old House, we aim to create a welcoming and familiar atmosphere during your stay. Our guest bedrooms are located in a converted barn affectionately known as ‘The Coop,’ offering picturesque views of our mature garden. These six ensuite rooms are named after British chicken breeds and feature tasteful decor that includes natural textures and earthy hues. You’ll also find modern furnishings and charming original elements in each room.

Borde Hill Garden’s story dates back to the late 19th century when Colonel Stephenson R. Clarke purchased the estate. The garden’s transformation began in 1892 under the guidance of renowned garden designer William Robinson. Today, the garden is still under the care of the Clarke family, preserving its rich heritage for generations to come.

Exit the Gardens and  turn left onto Borde Hill Lane

Turn right onto Copyhold Lane

Turn left onto College Rd

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto North St/B2028
