From cosy and comfortable to stylish and spacious, The Methuen’s 19 recently refurbished rooms offer everything you need for the perfect staycation, family break, or romantic getaway in our stunning Georgian coaching inn.

Situated in the heart of historic market town of Corsham, Wiltshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Methuen is set immediately beside the stately home and beautiful grounds of Corsham Court.

Located just 10 miles from the enchanting city of Bath, The Methuen is the perfect base for exploring Wiltshire and the world-class walking, cycling and dog-walking opportunities in and around the Cotswolds. Other local attractions include Lacock Abbey and Castle Combe.

Our rooms are individually decorated with modern-rustic furnishings, and equipped with ensuite bathrooms, organic Bramley toiletries, minibars stocked with local goodies, digital safes, Roberts DAB radios, Smart TVs and free Wi-Fi.

Family-friendly, accessible and dog-friendly room options are available.

Breakfast is complimentary, and our 3 AA Rosette-winning restaurant serves delicious seasonal food from our kitchen garden, with award-winning Butcombe beer behind the bar. Outside the spacious garden is perfect for al fresco drinking and dining in the warmer months.

    The cosiest of the hotel’s rooms, decorated in traditional, English country house-style. Each room boasts a desk, wardrobe, double bed and an ensuite bathroom with rain shower and local organic toiletries by Bramley. There’s also a tea-making station, digital safe, Roberts DAB radio, TV and free Wi-Fi.

    Located in the main and courtyard buildings, these rooms are slightly larger than their Snug counterparts. Decorated in soft, neutral hues; each room benefits from a minibar stocked with local goodies and organic toiletries by Bramley.

  • Superior

    Located in the main building, these spacious and characterful rooms are dressed with vintage Cotswold style furnishings and textiles.

  • Studio

    Set in the eaves of the main building, this elegant and spacious loft conversion has original wooden beams for an authentic rustic hideaway.
