Harbourside & River Avon Riverside Stroll
Start/End Point: The Ostrich, Redcliffe, Bristol
Directions: From the pub on Bristol’s historic harbourside, head along the River Avon towpaths toward Queen Square and the wider Harbourside network. Continue along paved riverside paths past Wapping Wharf and Bathurst Basin, then turn back through Redcliffe toward The Ostrich.
Estimated Time & Difficulty: ~1 hour, easy.
Highlight: Flat, scenic walking right by the water — perfect for a relaxed dog walk with plenty of views of boats and city landmarks.
Victoria Park & Redcliffe Views Loop
Start/End Point: The Ostrich, Redcliffe, Bristol
Directions: Head south from the pub across Redcliffe Way to Victoria Park in Bedminster. Follow the paved and grass paths through the park’s open spaces and wooded sections, enjoy the elevated views back toward Bristol city centre and then circle back along local roads or footpaths to return to the pub.
Estimated Time & Difficulty: ~1 – 1.5 hours, easy.
Highlight: A favourite city park with open lawns, paths and good vantage points over the harbour and city — a great urban nature stop for dogs and owners.
Conham River Park & Avon Trail
Start/End Point: The Ostrich, Redcliffe, Bristol
Directions: Drive or take a short ride to Conham River Park. From the park car park, follow the riverside trails along the Avon River — there are multiple scenic paths you can chose from, and you can turn around whenever suits you. Return via the same route back to The Ostrich.

Highlight: Peaceful forest and riverside walking with picnic areas and benches along the trail — lovely for dogs who like a bit of nature outside the city.
