A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF STONEHENGE

Constructed over 4,000 years ago, the purpose and significance of Stonehenge remain a subject of speculation. DIRECTIONS TO THE KING JOHN INN FROM STONEHENGE

The King John Inn is approximately 40 minutes by car from Stonehenge

Exit the car park at Stonehenge and head onto the A360 at the roundabout.

After roughly 10 miles take the A303 to Cow Drove

Continue straight on Cow Drove for approximately 1.5 miles

Eventually you will come to the village of Chilmark. Take a right then immediate left. Turn left again onto The Street and then immediately right onto Becketts Lane.

Continue to Donhead Hollow for another mile or so.

Just as you enter Tisbury, turn left onto Tisbury Lane.

Turn left at Jobbers Lane.

Continue onto Yule Hill.

Turn right onto High St and continue for another mile.

Turn right onto A30 for three miles.

Next turn left at Brook Hill and then immediately right.

Continue onto Donhead Hollow after another mile.

Make a slight left onto B3081 after a mile and the pub will be on your left after approximately three miles.
