Mount Street Gardens boasts a rich history dating back to the 19th century. Originally part of the churchyard of St. George’s Hanover Square, the gardens were established in 1889 as a public park. This transformation was driven by the need to provide green spaces in rapidly urbanising London. Over the years, the gardens have evolved, yet they have retained their historical charm, with many original features still intact.
One of the most captivating aspects of Mount Street Gardens is its diverse array of flora. The gardens are home to a wide variety of plant species, ranging from majestic London plane trees to colourful flower beds that change with the seasons.
