The George is closed until November 5th for essential improvement work and some careful restoration. Rest assured, as a Grade I-listed building all work will remain in keeping with the history of our beautiful inn, and we can’t wait to show you what we have planned.
Our sister pub The Fleur de Lys and accommodation at The Plaine remain open throughout the closure.

This superior double room is located on the first floor of The George, and accessible up a spiral staircase. The room boasts a beautiful four-poster bed, can accommodate a cot upon request, and has a view of the side alley and houses. The ensuite offers a standalone shower and luxury Bramley toiletries. Please note this room is not dog-friendly.
The room comes with tea and coffee-making facilities, WIFI, and Smart TV.
