The George is closed until November 5th for essential improvement work and some careful restoration. Rest assured, as a Grade I-listed building all work will remain in keeping with the history of our beautiful inn, and we can’t wait to show you what we have planned.
Our sister pub The Fleur de Lys and accommodation at The Plaine remain open throughout the closure.

This king double room is located on the first floor of The George, and accessible up a spiral staircase. The room offers a kingsize bed, and overlooks the main road. Ensuite bathroom with standalone shower and luxury Bramley toiletries. Please note this room is not dog-friendly.
All rooms offer free WIFI, tea and coffee-making facilities, and Smart TVs.
