The George is closed until November 5th for essential improvement work and some careful restoration. Rest assured, as a Grade I-listed building all work will remain in keeping with the history of our beautiful inn, and we can’t wait to show you what we have planned.
Our sister pub The Fleur de Lys and accommodation at The Plaine remain open throughout the closure.

The George is an historic Grade II-listed inn, located in the heart of Norton St Philip, near Bath. Offering comfortable rooms, delicious food and award-winning Butcombe beer, it is the perfect place to drink, dine and stay.
To reach The George Inn from Bath (assuming you drove and parked in The Podium Car Park) you must head south on Walcot Street before very quickly turning right onto Broad Street and then right again onto Saracen Street.
Turn left onto Walcot Street and head north before taking the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto London Road and then turn right onto Cleveland Place. Continue onto Bathwick Street before turning left onto Beckford Road and proceeding for approximately 8 miles.
Turn right onto Farleigh Road before turning left onto High Street, where you will find The George Inn on your right.
