The George Inn and our sister pub, The Fleur de Lys, have taken centre stage as filming locations for the brand-new British comedy-drama Mother’s Pride – released in cinemas March 2026.
Set in a struggling local pub, the film is a celebration of pubs, community and great brewing – themes that feel right at home with Butcombe. Even better, our Butcombe beers make a starring appearance on screen!
Both pubs provided the perfect backdrop for the production, with their historic character and traditional charm helping to bring the story to life. For us, it’s a proud moment to see two much-loved village pubs featured in a film that celebrates the heart of British pub culture.
