Best known for the Guardian’s long-running How to Make the Perfect… column, Felicity is the author of nine books spanning cookery, travel and food writing. Her adventures have taken her cycling across France in search of the perfect meal in the Sunday Times bestseller One More Croissant for the Road, around the UK in pursuit of the perfect breakfast in Fortnum & Mason Food Book of the Year Red Sauce Brown Sauce, and most recently across the United States for Peach Street to Lobster Lane. Her latest release, The Underdog, sees her turn to fiction with a culinary romcom – complete with a canine subplot.

The evening will begin from 6pm with Felicity signing books, followed by a welcome drink and a specially curated three-course dinner inspired by the food and travels featured in three of her books.
Felicity will then be joined in conversation by author Claire Nelson for an informal and lively discussion about food, travel, writing, life and the stories behind the books, followed by an audience Q&A.
Claire is the author of acclaimed survival memoir Things I Learned from Falling, which tells the extraordinary story of leaving a life of burnout in London behind for the North American wilderness, before an accident left her fighting for survival alone in the Californian desert. As someone who knows Felicity personally, Claire will bring her own stories and insights to the conversation while helping us get a little further behind the scenes of Felicity’s adventures and writing.
Pre-order The Underdog when purchasing your ticket and your copy will be ready to collect on the evening, with the opportunity to have it signed by Felicity from 6pm.
Copies of the three Felicity Cloake books that have inspired the evening’s menu – One More Croissant for the Road, Red Sauce Brown Sauce and Peach Street to Lobster Lane – will also be available to purchase on the night, alongside Claire Nelson’s Things I Learned from Falling.
Expect a relaxed evening of brilliant food, fascinating stories and plenty of conversation.
Please note: your booking is for an individual seat rather than a private table, and you may be seated alongside other guests.
Tickets are £40 (plus booking fee) and £5 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank.
