This Grade I listed Tudor inn, located in the heart of Norton St. Philip, is proudly part of the Butcombe Boutique Inns collection: a group of beautiful boutique inns set in stunning locations across the South of England. Offering 13 charming ensuite bedrooms, it’s the perfect base to explore the village of Norton St. Philip, nearby Bath and the beautiful Somerset countryside. The inn’s historic interiors have also attracted the film industry, recently serving as a filming location for the 2026 film Mother’s Pride.

We’re also very proud of our Head Chef Aimie Harley, who was voted Salon Culinaire Pub Chef of the Year 2024.
