Whether you are bringing the family, navigating the local mountain biking routes or stopping by whilst horseback riding through the forest, we have everything you need to make your visit memorable. 

On the menu, our focus is locally sourced seasonal dishes and pub classics, with a great selection of award-winning Butcombe beer, cocktails, and wines behind the bar.

We are very dog-friendly and child-friendly, and have a large beer garden with a children’s play area – ideal for al fresco drinking and dining!

Inside, you’ll find cosy interiors and traditional pub charm, and space for both intimate meals and larger family gatherings.

If you’re planning a special occasion or event, our Whitmore Room is perfect for meetings, wedding receptions, birthdays, office get-togethers and Christmas parties.

We’re a great place to stop while looking for wild ponies in the New Forest, and a short distance from Hampshire attractions like Beaulieu National Motor Museum, Butlers Hard Maritime Museum, Paultons Park, and Moors Valley Country Park and Forest.
