Scenic Walking Routes
Here are some of our favourite dog walks right from the pub
1. High Corner Inn Forest Walk

Directions: From the pub car park head out toward the Forestry Commission tracks in Linwood. Follow the forest paths and tracks through Broomy Inclosure and around woodland glades, then loop back along open forest trails to return to the inn.
Estimated Time & Difficulty: ~1 – 1.5 hours, easy‑moderate (mostly firm forest tracks).
Highlight: Classic New Forest woodland walking with trees, tracks and wildlife — perfect for dogs who enjoy varied terrain and sniffing.
2. Dickens Water & Broomy Inclosure Loop
Start/End Point: The High Corner Inn
Directions: Head west from the pub on the forest track then veer into the paths running near Dickens Water and beside Broomy Inclosure. Follow the sandy tracks through mixed woodland and heath, then head back on a connecting trail toward the pub.
Estimated Time & Difficulty: ~1 – 1.5 hours, easy.
Highlight: Peaceful forest trails with occasional water views and plenty of shaded sections — great for a relaxed dog walk.
3. High Corner Car Park Extended Walk (New Forest Path)
Start/End Point: The High Corner Inn
Directions: Walk past the pub toward High Corner Car Park and pick up the longer High Corner Walk route (part of the local New Forest network). Follow the waymarked 3½ mile loop through woodland tracks, open forest, and meadows before returning to the inn.
